Kettlebell Workouts With The Master - Adam Cronin

One of my very good friends and personal trainer Adam Cronin doing a crazy kettlebell "Kettle-beach" workout. Now, don't try this at home, he's the master, he's been doing this for 10+ years and has literally written the book on kettlebell training. Yes, you always start out with the basics, but this shows a level of mastery that I don't know if you've ever seen before with kettlebell workouts.

Kettlebell workouts are great for all aspects of exercise and rehabilitation. This just shows where you can go with it once you've mastered it. And yes... he trains the trainers. So if there's a kettlebell class in your gym, it's likely he trained your trainer or trained the person that trained them. Enjoy

One more thing - I think your statement about Adam "training your kettlebell trainer" is pretty inaccurate - the RKC and Pavel - the guy who reintroduced kettlebells to the US do most of the kettlebell training in the US.

Dear Kettlebell Guy, here’s a brief history of why you think the way you do:

You are a classic victim of marketing. You “think” rather than know. In medicine we need to know, so we’ll find the source of the info---I think you should too, to make valid statements (or something nicer and more professional to that end.

2001-Kb’s were never “reintroduced”---they’ve always been around and been in our physical culture for well over 100 years—pavel had a good schtick—that’s it. It was adam’s biz partner dave Ganulin who approached pavel before meeting adam, to come to the fitness industry—pavel laughed and snickered at anyone who thought the fitness industry was ready for kbs. He declined daves repeated offers to work with him for 6 months till pavel finally told dave—“if you think there’s something there, you can have the “fern and mirror” crowd”—I don’t think they could handle it. So go ahead with your ideas with out me if you want—good luck.” Dave went on to find adam later that year.

2003-adam created the first ever CEC approved Kettlebell course for professionals in English. Pavel’s course is not cec approved-never has been—and his “officialness” is based on marketing only.

In 2003 some pavelites unprofessionally and unprovokedly criticized adam and his company. On the dragon door message board is the proof—adam defended himself, and clearly showed he knew what he was doing—as each argument was refuted up the chain of command by adam up to pavel—in the end, no one could come close to adam’s technical mastery and explanation of what he was doing. So even pavel just dismissed me as a tech head in the lab without any real coaching skills. If anyone knows biomechanics and motor learning, adam clearly “outscienced” the entire pavel camp in a single feed.

2004 “adam co-published the first ever academically accredited, peer reviewed research on kettlebells in English, in 2004 NSCA journal of S and C research—he then presented it as an invited speaker on stage at the NSCA national convention in miniapolis that year. At the same conference, pavel was selling kb’s in the (paid for) exhibition hall. Adam and Dave approached pavel and told him they were fans of his—he came approached them and asked if they even train with kettlebells-sizing them up and making fun of them. Not very professional in my opinion. Especially when they started the conversation with "we're fans".

2007: 3 years later, for the first time ever, the IGSF (Intl girevoy sport fed) world championships were held in the US —SanDiego. Adam discovered and trained Lorna Kleidman in 2005—she had never heard of a kettlebell till age 41 with adam—the first US born International master of sport (pavel never even reached this high, never trained anyone to this level), first world IGSF champion from the US, first world record holder—in that same competiton, pavel entered 8 students trained in is “hard style”. Each of them, finished last in their respective age/weight classes. To this day, to my knowledge, no one in pavel’s camp has become world champion in any category.

2011 Lorna has gone on to be the world IGSF champion 5 TIMES!!!, and the highest ranked most dominant female in AKC history—their first Intl master of sport, world champion, and world record holder; and just retired at age 46.

I would humbly ask that you go check your history and facts.
